As I thought about Lori's trip to Peru, I began to wonder what kinds of songs are Christian favorites around the world. So after doing a search, I found a website that previews dozens of songs done in languages around the world. According to the site, each song is chosen to be appropriate to the cultures of each nation. I enjoyed clicking on several and listening to the short clips while contemplating the titles of the songs that are loved by each of the nation's Christians. To make checking it out easier, I am posting two links, one for South American Countries, and one for African countries. Maybe you will become as intrigued as I was, and will check out some other countries and how they worship Christ. And consider the power that music has as a ministry. But when you do, take a moment to pray for these Christians in nations, some of them not as fortunate as we to have freedom to worship. But also, be refreshed that there are Christians who genuinely love our Savoir all over this globe. Asking God to do something special in their lives opens up a whole new freshness to my prayers. It opens my mind to a wonderful assurance that the Holy Spirit connects us in ways we may never understand, that allows I may, by prayer, have a positive effect on the life of someone I may not know, but whom God loves just as much as I know he loves me. Knowing that he is directing me to pray for them, allows that I might imagine He also directs them to pray for us.

My Mom taught me to sing, "Jesus Loves the little children, all the little children of the world. Red and Yellow, Black and White, they are precious in his sight. Jesus loves the little children of the World." by George F. Root. I always thought it was one of the best things she taught me in life. There's suffering in this world, and some of them are Christians. They need us to lift them up.
Songs help us to know the inner thoughts of people in a way that nothing else can. If I know they sing praises to Jesus in nations around the world, the church becomes real to me in a new way. I sometimes wish I could hear them singing. God doesn't call us all to go, but he calls us all to prayer.
FATHER, I pray that you will bless Christians who are suffering around the world. Give to them blessings that we take for granted, the needs of their bodies, but also the desires of their hearts. For every mother who holds a dying child, and every home that has no furniture, where Godly people sit on mats, be the God they need. Thank you for every person, who like Lori was able, will be your hands and feet. But also Lord, make yourself real to Christians around the world in such a way, that those who wonder if you remember them in thier circumstances, will know they are not alone. Give to them a new song. In Jesus Name, AMEN
