Remember the first prayer i put in my prayer jar? If not, read this post. Then, read on.
This week, a contract was put on the house and a closing date tentatively set. Answered prayer. i let go and let God move .... getting out of His way so He could move mountains. Here's the thing, though. We not only got a contract on the house, we got a backup offer in case the other offer falls through. God always exceeds my expectations!
When you pray and you finally surrender your request, essentially promising to get out of the way so God can move your mountain, you will experience the power of God. Whether the prayer is answered the way you want or not, God will answer. And, He will answer so that you always get His best for you (even though it may not feel like it at the time).
Prayers may not get answered as quickly as mine did, but that doesn't mean you should give up or take the prayer back out of the jar and take matters into your own hands. This is where practicing patience comes in.
While you are waiting for answered prayer, memorize scripture and His promises, enjoy the process of getting to God's blessings, and manage your stress levels. God doesn't forget about your prayer requests, even long after you put them in the prayer jar. Sometimes, there are very important things He needs to show us on the way to His answer.
Thank you, Lord, for answering my prayers.
