Much like good nutrition and exercise makes our bodies stronger and survive longer, frequent prayer time is also crucial. From my experience, there is a huge improvement in my attitude when I spend quality time with the Lord and when I am "too busy or rushed."
As Christians, we have to realize that quiet time is a step we cannot miss without consequences. God wants to hear from his children and breathe his mercies on us.
Lametations 3:22-23 says,
"Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.
They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness."
True communion with God comes from a relationship with Him. A relationship flourishes when time is spent together.
Prayer time with God looks different for every person. To some, it may be journaling or quietly soaking in His presence. To others, it may be spent in worship. Not matter what the details, what matters to God is that our hearts are boldly laid before Him.
My Prayer: God, thank you for being so faithful when I am slacking in my end of our relationship. You always know my heart. Holy Spirit, remind me the importance of spending time with you each day. Thank you for the new mercies that you pour on me.
